In this module i‘m going to introduce you to the basics of the geometry of human settlements. Therefore we will look at the basic characteristics of three interlocked systems: the street system, the plot system and the buildings system. We will discuss the main functions of these systems in relation to the urban user and we will reveal how these three systems are interrelated. Overall, this basic understanding shall serve as the fundament for the design of future cities.
