Families living in big cities want to provide spaces for their children to let off steam. Of course traditional playgrounds are therefore the best option. Nevertheless one can find running and playing children on ordinary public spaces, if they are safe and wide enough. There is not much needed to make a space a popular place, but helpful elements can be for example water, grass or furniture. These spaces not only attract families with children, they are also used by teenagers dancing, adults skateboarding, or seniors playing chess.
