What do you think & why?
I think a controlled high urban density is a key factor for many urban design aspects, and if I have to only pick one it would be the accessibility aspect. Higher density means higher accessibility hence less travel distance between dwellings and services, higher accessibility also translates into a higher coverage and ridership percentages altogether (in terms of transit).
What are challenges of high density?
High density come with tradeoffs in other aspects especially the environmental challenges if the environmental sustainability wasn’t considered in the planning phase. some of the environmental challenges are air pollution, urban heat islands, noise pollution and less amount of green spaces per capita.
