Urban Density / Task 01

In the last century, the modernism urban development process around the world created an excessive expansion of the cities with a low density and trigger different challenges such as transportation problems, inequality process, access to the city, urban segregation and so on. In order to solve these kinds of issues, the contemporary’s approaches to urban planning believe that high density is one efficient and sustainable solution.
On the other hand, one of the challenges that high-density models may have in the city is the concentration of the economy of the city in a big mass, generating high prices on the land and, in the same way, a conflict with the relation between historical downtowns and these skyscrapers.
