Water Sensitive Urban Design

Excursus – IN3 Planning Table

The video shows a tool, which was developed in the research project IN3 (Integrated Infrastructure) for demonstration purpuses during the exhibition Selam Bauhaus. The tool allows to place the city center, industrial area and the water reservoir. Furthermore, the urban density and the ratio between agricultural land and forest can be changed. These parameters affect the performance of the city, characterized by six criteria (Walkability, Nature, Air Quality, Employment, Water and Affordability). During the exhibition the tool was used by many visitors and they tried to create their “optimal” city. These results are displayed at the end of the video.
